A Keighley woman has been ordered to hand over all of her realisable assets to the elderly victim of what has been described as a callous fraud Alice Barker was convicted of conspiracy to defraud, which saw the widow from Cracoe near Skipton lose around half a million pounds But at the proceeds of crime hearing it was revealed the 59 year old had assets amounting to less than £10,000 Barker, of Raglan Avenue, had escaped a jail sentence when convicted, but she has now been ordered to pay back £9,850 More Proceeds of Crime Hearings involving other defendants in the case are expected to be concluded later in the year
