Village Co-op Donate Litter Bin To The Community Of Oakworth

A village Co-Op store has donated a litter bin to the community as a major clean up is planned for the weekend.

Operation Oakworth will launch on Saturday morning, where it’s hoped as many local residents as possible will tackle the village grot spots

The bin has already been installed up at Cure Hill, where it’s hoped dog walkers and visitors will be encouraged to help keep the area litter free.

Across in West Craven a local group known as the Barnoldswick Glitterati go on regular litter picks, but sometimes feel they’re on an up-hill struggle.

Routes Such as Kelbrook Road, one of the three main routes into the town, are repeatedly targeted by litter louts, meaning the volunteers have a never ending job.

Back in Oakworth though, if you are keen to get involved just turn up on Saturday morning
