Earby Town Council Is To Hold A Joint Public Surgery

Earby Town Council is to hold a joint public surgery tomorrow morning, where home and shed security will be on the agenda. They’ve invited a member of the local Neighbourhood Policing Team to attend the surgery, which will run from 10 in the morning until mid-day. They’ll have a number of items available, including shed and personal alarms, as well as special purse bells which tinkle if anyone should attempt to steal it. Local councillors will be on hand during the session to give advice on and discuss council issues. The surgery will take place at the Earby Town Council offices, on Victoria Road, in the town.

Party Being Held For Those Caught Up In The Recent Floods In Earby

Meanwhile, following the recent disastrous floods in the West Craven town of Earby, organisers of the local relief effort are planning a party event for those affected Volunteers who helped re-home flood victims are also being invited to go along to the event, to be held at the New Road Community Centre on the 23rd of January Finer details of the event are yet to be finalised, but so far local band Rewired have confirmed that they’ll play on the night, and we’ll run a short fun quiz too It’s hoped food will available, there’ll be games and toys for children of the families affected, and an appeal’s gone out for new toys to replace those lost in the floods…
